Hi!
I still think it must be too early to give up.
I need in all to install tree application on my muliniux then it will become the system off my dreams really : )
The applications are: ispell, xpaint, and netpbm.
Netpbm I am the most worried about. Now I found an other Pre-Built Distribution of Netpbm. It is The NetBSD on:
http://wuarchive.wustl.edu/mirrors/NetBSD/NetBSD-current/pkgsrc/graphics/netpbm/
"This package requires the following package(s) to run: perl>=5.0 png>=1.2.4 tiff>=3.5.4 jpeg-6b .
Select one of the links below to download the package in precompiled binary form for installation with pkg_add(1). Available machine architectures and package versions:
i386: netpbm-9.25 <ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/packages/1.5/i386/All/netpbm-9.25.tgz> (NetBSD-1.5)"
So if I got hold off png>=1.2.4 tiff>=3.5.4 and jpeg-6b and added them to the mu-lib`s (build them). There is a perl v5004 in the Perl addon. Wood it then be possible (for an persistent new be) to build it?
With much hope Mikkel
