There are plenty of problem records around this network card:
http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&lr=&ie=UTF-8&q=Realtek+network+rtl8139+lin
ux&spell=1
I don't know if mulinux supports the linux modules,
but the driver for this card was usually not a part
of the linux kernels ....
[ it does but only a early version which will be severely broke if Karim has a recent
rtl card ]
some solutions ?
http://www.scyld.com/network/rtl8139.html
http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/mjb_rtl8139_24.html
[ Ive tried to compile the latest version from sycld but it relies on kernel components
from 2.2.x onward and so won't compile for muLinux ]
[ Sorry Karim but you'll have to find an earlier / alternative card. I've got the same problem
with late version Linksys card that needs the later tulip driver which isn't compatible with
mu's archaic 2.0.36 kernel... shades of mu and the nature of the Bhudda :'( ]
