Functionality changed:
  • BI XMLA Connector:
    • Removed the BI XMLA Connector Web Service Version; merged its support of SAP Logon Ticket access to SAP BW systems into the regular BI XMLA Connector.
      • Note: Be sure to refer to the instructions in the howto.html file if you have been using the BI XMLA Connector in your applications.

    • Added a series of how-to guides that help you create different kinds of applications with the BI Java SDK.

  • BI XMLA Connector -- Web Service Version:
    • Added a second version of the BI XMLA Connector that supports the SAP Logon Ticket access to the SAP BW system.
  • BI ODBO Connector:
    • Added new connection properties to allow Windows authentication.

    • Addressed some issues that prevented proper usage of the connector in the Visual Composer Scenario.

Functionality changed:
  • OLAP Query API
    • IBIMemberFactory: Added the parentMember parameter to the createCousin method. If you used this method in previous releases, be sure to update your code with this parameter.
  • Schema naming:
    • Removed dot after schema name. In previous releases, to refer to a schema name directly using the OLAP Metadata API, you had to append the name with a dot. As of this release, you should no longer append schema names with a dot. Valid examples as of this release include: "$INFOCUBE", "0D_SD_C03".
Functionality enhanced:
  • Connection Interfaces:
    • Improved connector performance. If you are working in a managed environment, you will notice better performance when connecting to data sources and, in particular, accessing metadata and caching it for subsequent connections.
  • Developer's Guide:
    • Added examples to BW metadata mapping notes in Accessing Metadata chapter of Guide.

  • OLAP Object Finder:
    • Addressed an issue which prevented backward-navigation of metadata when using IBIOlapObjectFinder.

    • Added support for creating and adding calculated members
    • Added support for creating composite member set expressions
  • OLAP Query API:
    • Extended all classes with the the "description" text field
Functionality enhanced: Bugs addressed:
  • OLAP Query Model:
    • Fixed a bug with all IBINumericValueFunctions. Before, a numeric expression had to be provided for all IBINumericValueFunctions; now, this numeric expression is optional.
