Editing Start and End States

To edit the start or end state:

  1. From the menubar, select Window > Show View > Properties.


  2. Select the element from either the UML Explorer, UML Navigator or Diagram view.


  3. Edit the fields in the Properties view as necessary.

Renaming Start and End States

Use either of the methods below to rename the start or end state.

Using the context menu to rename an element:

  1. Right click on the element in either the UML Explorer, UML Navigator or Diagram view.


  2. Select Rename from the context menu.


  3. Type the new name.


  4. Click Ok.

Using the Properties view to rename an element:

  1. From the menubar, select Window > Show View > Properties.


  2. Select the element in either the UML Explorer, UML Navigator or Diagram view.


  3. Edit the name field in the Properties view.

NB: The names for the Start and End state elements are only visible in the Property View and as the nodes name in the UML Explorer or UML Navigator.
