Creating Initial and Final States

To create initial and final state elements, choose one of the following methods:

Using the diagram toolbar button:

1. Click the Initial State button or the Final State button on the diagram toolbar.




2. Click on the diagram to create the element.

Using the diagram context menu:

1. In Diagram view, right click on the background.




2. From the context menu, select New > Initial State or New > Final State.

Using the element context menu:

1. In the UML Navigator or UML Explorer view, right click on the appropriate diagram that will contain the new element.




2. From the context menu, select New > Initial State or New > Final State.
