Using the Dependency Link

On a deployment diagram, a dependency link can be drawn between:

• A node and a component
• Two nodes
• Two components
• Two objects

A dependency link can be also be drawn from:

• A component to an interface
• A node to an interface
• An object to an interface

A dependency link cannot be drawn between two interfaces.

To create a dependency link:

1. Click the Dependency Link button on the diagram toolbar.




2. On the Diagram, click the source element.




3. Drag the link to the destination element.




4. Drop when the destination element is highlighted.
