Creating Actors and Objects

Choose from any of the methods listed below to create an actor or an object in a collaboration diagram.

Use the diagram toolbar button:

1. Click the "Actor" button or the "Object" button on the diagram toolbar. The button stays highlighted.




2. Click on the diagram to create the element.

Use the diagram context menu:

1. In Diagram view, right click on the background.




2. From the context menu, select New > Actor or New > Object.

Use the element context menu:

1. In the UML Navigator view, right click on the collaboration diagram that will contain the new actor or object.




2. From the context menu, select New > Actor or New > Object.
