Using the Composition Link

A composition relationship denotes a strong form of aggregation. This relationship can be drawn between all elements on the diagram, except, from or to, a collaboration element.

To create a composition link:

1. On the Diagram toolbar, click the Aggregation Link button.




2. Click on the source element.




3. Drag the link to the destination element.




4. Drop when the second element is highlighted.




5. Select the link on the diagram, UML Explorer or UML Navigator, and then in the Property View change the link type property from "Aggregation" to "Composition".
