Using the Interrupting Edge Link

In an activity diagram, use an interrupting edge to show a non-local termination of flow. An interrupting edge relationship can be drawn between the following elements:

state
activity invocation
decision
fork/join

As long as the starting element, from the list above, resides in a interruptableactivityregion.

To create an interrupting edge link:

On the Diagram toolbar, click the Interrupting Edge button on the diagram toolbar.

Click the source element.

Drag the link to the destination element.

Drop when the destination element is highlighted.
