Creating Links by Patterns

To create a new link by pattern:

1. Click the Link By Pattern button on the diagram toolbar.




2. Click on the class or interface source element.




3. Drag the link to the destination class or interface element.




4. Drop when the second element is highlighted.




5. When you drop the link, the Apply Pattern dialog with a list of links appears:

   
   

   
   




6. Select the link pattern you want to use.




7. Enter the parameters for the link pattern.




8. Click on Finish to create the link.

To apply a link pattern to an existing link:

1. Right click on the link on the diagram or in the UML Navigator




2. Select Apply Pattern...











3. Select the link pattern you want to use.




4. Enter the parameters for the link pattern.




5. Click on Finish and the link pattern is applied to the selected link.
