To open a diagram:
In UML Explorer view or UML Navigator view, navigate to the diagram you want to open.
Select the diagram node in the tree-view.
From the context menu, select Open (this replaces the contents of any currently opened diagram), or
Each diagram can open in its own tabbed page in the Diagram view (unless you choose just to open it replace the contents of the current tab). Tabs display the diagram name and diagram type icon. The icons correspond to those shown in the UML Navigator view. Switch between open diagrams by clicking the desired tab.
The Diagram view can have many diagrams open at one time. Whenever a new diagram is opened, the newly opened diagram's tab will be displayed. In the example shown, there are two class diagrams open, problem_domain and data_management. The data_management diagram is displayed. To see an overview of a large diagram, click the Overview tab in the bottom right corner of the Diagram view.
NB: When there are too many tabs to display in the current width of the Diagram
View, the tab names will be first truncated with the '...' symbol, and then finally
left and right arrows will appear in the top right hand corner of the Diagram View. A
black arrow indicates there is a diagram or diagrams off the screen to the left or right.
You can use these arrows to navigate to those off screen diagrams.
