Creating Diagrams in Projects

Diagrams exist within the context of a project. Create or open a project before creating any new diagrams. If you create a Together project around an existing code base, Together automatically generates Class diagrams showing the contents of each package when it parses your code.

Together supports the following UML diagrams:

• Class
• Use case
• Sequence
• Collaboration
• Activity
• State
• Component
• Deployment
• Collaboration [2.0] (new, for UML 2.0)

By default, Together diagram files are contained within the Together Model directory of your project.

To change the default diagrams directory:

1. Right click on the project root in the UML Explorer view, and select Properties. The Properties dialog displays.

   
   

2. Choose Design root path from the properties list on the left.

   
   

3. Change the Design root path field, and press OK.
