Preferences

You can modify many of the basic Together settings using the Preference dialogs:

Open this preference dialog...
to...
Modeling change startup, deletion, error report, file storage, ignored folders, and team sharing preferences.
Diagram change how diagrams are displayed.
Documentation change how your documentation is generated.
Java change how Together handles your Java code.
Patterns change how Together recognizes patterns.
Print change how documents are printed.
Quality Assurance change how audits and metrics run.
View Management change the level of diagram detail displayed in your projects.

Tip: Some preference pages allow you to use keyboard shortcuts to set preferences. If you see a label with an underlined letter, you can use ALT + the underlined letter (for example, ALT + k) to quickly set preferences.

Import/Export Buttons

All of the Together Preference dialogs have the following Import/Export buttons:

Option Description
Loads a previously saved preference configuration file.
NB: Once imported, this file overwrites selections in all preferences dialogs, not just the one currently visible. To use this option, you must have previously saved a configuration file. See Export..., below.
Saves your preference configurations as a file for later use.

Restore/Apply Buttons

All of the Together Preference dialogs, except for the Pattern and Quality Assurance preferences, have the following buttons:

Option Description
Restores default selections for this dialog.
Applies selections made in this dialog.
