Templates View

The Templates view displays currently available templates. These templates can be applied to open projects that have been template enabled.

The project "Local Templates" appears by default, and includes all the templates predefined and shipped with Together. They are divided into three categories: Java Link, Java Class, and Java Package. Each category contains subcategories related to the individual templates it contains.

In the example below, the template "Mencken" was created using the Save as Pattern command in the UML Explorer after the Purchase Transaction project had been template enabled. Since no subcategories for templates were defined for the Purchase Transaction project, the Templates view created Misc by default and placed the template there. You can, however, create your own subcategories using the Templates view's context menus. Once created, a template can be edited using the appropriate template editor.

NB: New projects will not appear in the Templates view until they contain a template.
