Setting Your Personal Preferences

Much of what you see in the Together user interface is based on settings selected in preferences dialogs. The level of detail displayed in your diagrams, whether or not patterns are recognized in your projects, and many other choices can be set in one of the Preferences dialogs in Together.

Accessing Preferences

To access the Preferences dialogs:

  1. On the main menubar, select Window > Preferences.

  2. On the left side of the Preferences dialog, expand the Modeling node.

  3. Click the dialog you want to open.

Finding the Settings You Want to Change

Below is an overview of the settings you can customize in each dialog. Follow the links to the Reference section for details.

Modeling change startup, deletion, error report, file storage, ignored folders, and team sharing preferences.
Diagram change how diagrams are displayed.
Documentation change how your documentation is generated.
Java change how Together handles your Java code.
Patterns change how Together recognizes patterns.

Quality Assurance change how audits and metrics run.
View Management change the level of diagram detail displayed in your projects.
