Default Compartments

If more than one version of the same software component is contained in one configuration, usage relationships that refer to this SC become ambiguous (if no additional information is given). The "default compartment" property means that this compartment must be used in case nothing else is specified. Per software component there can be only one default compartment.

Only the default compartment can contain source code states of software components. Non-default compartments (compartments that contain an alternative version of some SC) must contain archive states only.
