Editing DC Meta Data 

Besides the files that contain the source code or archive state, there is other information on basic attributes of the component (such as name, description or component type) or information on the relations to other components. We call this information the DC meta data. For more information, see Component Description.

In the local file system, the meta data is stored in the .dcdef file in the _comp subfolder. For more information, see Folder Structure of a Component.

Procedure

       1.      To change meta data, select the perspective that is appropriate for the component type.

       2.      Expand the node of the desired DC.

       3.      Under DC MetaData, you can maintain the following meta data:

¡        DC Definition

§         Access control list

§         Child DCs

§         Contained folders

§         Contained package names

§         Used DCs

¡        Public Parts

§         <public part>

·         Access List

·         Entities

·         Entity References

       4.      You must add changes to the meta data to an activity.

       5.      To make the changes available in the repository, check in the activity.
