Creating Packages in the Diagram View 

Prerequisites

An EJB Module project or a Web Module project.

Procedure

       1.      Open a page of the Diagram view at the package level at which you want to add the new package.

A quick way of doing this is by selecting a package in the J2EE Explorer and choosing Open Package Diagram from the context menu.

       2.      Select the Package icon from the toolbar.

       3.      In the Diagram view, select the area where the package is to be displayed.

The package is displayed:

       4.      In the diagram, select the name of the new package and change it to the required value.

Example

This method is simple if you have an existing package, for example com.sap, and want to create a package com.sap.engine. However, if you want to create a several layers of a package at once, it is easier to work in the J2EE Explorer. For more information, see Creating Packages.
