Editing Configuration Files 

Use

You can use the user management configuration tool in the portal to download and upload data source configuration files. For full details on changing configuration files, see Customizing a UME Data Source Configuration.

Procedure

...

       1.      Download the configuration file:

                            a.      In the portal, choose System Administration ® System Configuration ® UM Configuration.

The Data Sources tab is displayed.

                            b.      In Data Source Selection, choose the combination of data sources to suit your requirements.

                            c.      Choose Download and save the file in a suitable location.

                            d.      Unpack the file.

       2.      Create a copy of the file.

When naming the copy, make sure to use a name that is supported by the upload function (see below).

       3.      Open the copy of the file in a suitable editor and modify it as required.

       4.      Upload the modified file:

                            a.      On the Data Sources tab, choose Browse and browse to the modified file.

                            b.      Choose Upload.

The upload function only uploads files with the following characters in their name:

§         "0" to "9", "A" to "Z", "a" to "z"

§         Period (.), underscore (_), percent sign (%), tilde sign (~), minus sign (-), parentheses (())

Spaces are not allowed.

                            c.      Choose Save to save the entire configuration (that is, data from all the tabs). Otherwise choose Reset to undo all data you have entered on this tab.
