Procedure documentation Creating Activities Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You need Structure linkactivities to carry out logical operations in their context. Activities can also be used to organize related versions in groups. You can create activities before you create or change files in order to provide a structure for the required changes.

Note

When you check out a file for editing, you are prompted to select an activity. In this dialog, you can also create a new one.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the Repository Browser view, select a workspace.

       2.      In the context menu, choose Create Activity.

A dialog window New Activity is displayed.

       3.      Specify the activity name (of up to 218 characters) and description.

Result

The newly created activity can be seen under the correct workspace in the Open Activities view.

Note

The activity is not associated to any workspace until a resource (file or folder) is added, modified or deleted in its context from or to a specific workspace. In this case, the activity can be used for resources of any of the workspaces in the repository. Once an activity is associated to a particular workspace (by adding, modifying, deleting a resource from the workspace in its context), it cannot be used for resources of any other workspace.
