Process documentation Bean Properties Management Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

Different tabs with different options are available for the different types of beans.

Process Flow

...

       1.      Select a bean from the tree.

       2.      Enter the necessary information on the tab pages that are available for that type of bean. All possible tabs are:

¡        General tab – see Editing the General Settings of an Enterprise Bean. There is one additional field:

§         JNDI Name - this is the name by which the bean must be registered in the JNDI and with which it can be looked up. If this element is not specified, the bean will be registered under <applicationName>/<ejb-name>.

¡        Security tab – you can only view the existing settings made on the J2EE Components tab.

¡        Environment tab – you can only view the settings made on the J2EE Components tab.

The Environment tab has one additional subtab - Component References. Here you can manage the information about the component references from the application to services, interfaces or libraries as described below.

¡        EJB Properties tab – see Editing the EJB Properties of an Enterprise Bean.

¡        Additional tab – you can only view the existing settings.

¡        Persistent tab – see Editing the Persistent Properties of an Enterprise Bean. This tab is available only for container-managed entity beans.

       3.      Save your entries.

Managing the Component References

...

       1.      The Server Component References lists the existing references.

       2.      To set a new one:

                                                  i.       Enter a name for it in the Name field.

                                                ii.       Specify its type in the Type combo box. It could be:

·         Service

·         Interface

                                               iii.       In the Jndi field specify the name by which the resource is registered in the JNDI.

                                               iv.       Optionally you can write a description of the reference in the Description field.

                                                 v.       Use the Add, Modify, Remove and Clear buttons accordingly.
