Administration of the Change Management Service

Purpose

The Change Management Service (CMS) is part of the SAP NetWeaver Java Development Infrastructure (JDI for short) and is responsible for the configuration of the JDI, the administration of the transport landscapes, and for software transports within these landscapes, right up to shipment of the software. This documentation is aimed at CMS administrators.

You can use the following tools to perform the configuration and transport tasks:

·        Landscape Configurator

You use the Landscape Configurator to configure tracks and system landscapes. You can also define the development configurations for your work in SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.

·        Transport Studio

You use the Transport Studio to transport software changes, perform quality assurance measures, and assemble new versions of software components for shipment.
