Adding Server ProcessesYou can also scale a Java cluster by adding server processes to already existing Java instances. This enables optimal utilization of the available hardware resources and the capacity of the Java dispatcher to multiple server processes.

Scaling the cluster by adding a server process
You must have installed the basic components of the cluster (Central Services, at least one Java instance, and database).
When you run the
Template
Configuration Tool on your Java instance, it automatically configures the
number of server processes based on the hardware resources that are
available.
Additionally, you
can install server processes manually using the Config Tool provided by the
J2EE Engine. For more information about the procedure, see
Configuring Cluster
Elements.

We recommend that you use the Template Configuration Tool for automatic Java instance setup.
