Maintenance and Support Packages
In the maintenance phase, you make emergency corrections in the CONS workspace. You must then integrate these activities into the DEV workspace, or make the same corrections here as well.
At the same time as emergency corrections are being made in the CONS workspace, you develop, in the DEV workspace, the next Support Package for production use. There is no permanent consolidation, which means the CONS workspace contains the state that is currently in production use, and can be used for emergency corrections.
At regular intervals, you create the next Support Package, test it, and integrate it into the production environment.

The CONS workspace cannot be used for emergency corrections while the next Support Package is being created and validated. For this reason, keep this phase as short as possible.
At regular intervals in the maintenance process, copy all activities from DEV to CONS. Before you do this, make sure that the build process for the DEV state runs without errors. This speeds up the creation of the test system.
