Basic Functions
As described in Working with J2EE Tools, J2EE applications in the Developer Studio are structured into certain project types. While there is a great deal of flexibility in the ability to add (or remove) objects and references in projects, it often makes sense to start with the module projects and then deal with the application project. The documentation follows this organization as well.
For normal projects:
Creating Enterprise Application Projects
For DC projects:
Creating EJB Module DC Projects
Creating Web Module DC Projects
Creating Enterprise Application DC Projects
Related procedures are to be found under these main headings. Procedures that are common to both normal projects and DC projects are located in the documentation structure of the normal projects.
Bear in mind that there are often several ways of doing the same thing in the Developer Studio, only one of which may be described here. Very often the function that you are looking for is also conveniently located in the relevant context menu, although sometimes the wizards offer more possibilities during the creation process.
