Use

In the user management administration console, you can create, modify, and delete UME roles. In addition, you can assign roles to users.

UME roles define a set of authorizations. By assigning a role to a user or group, you grant the set of authorizations that the role defines to the user or group. For example, you can create a role containing all the permissions that a user administrator requires and assign this role to all user administrators.

Modify or view a role

      1.      Select a role from the list.

      2.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Modify/View).

Assign a role to a user

      1.      Select a role from the list.

      2.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Assign Users to ...).

      3.      To select the users that you want to assign to the role, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Add Users).

      4.      To save your changes, choose Done.

Assign a role to a group

      1.      Select a role from the list.

      2.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Assign Groups to ...).

      3.      To select the groups that you want to assign to the role, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Add Groups).

      4.      To save your changes, choose Done.

Delete a role

      1.      Select a role from the list.

      2.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Delete).
