Purpose
The following explanation is a guide for System Administrators maintaining the internal R/3 tables that contain the device recognition data for certain mobile devices. By maintaining these tables, you can change existing values specified for mobile device properties as well as adding new mobile devices to the device recognition mechanism.
Features
The innovations in the mobile devices market sector ensure that there are always new devices on the market. This in turn means that not all commercially available mobile devices with their properties and values can be included in the delivered R/3 tables. To add additional devices with their special properties, System Administrators can create new R/3 tables.
For details on maintaining and enhancing these tables, see the following:

We advise you to work only with XML files, since this allows you to avoid errors caused during import by inconsistencies in the database tables. These inconsistencies can mean that device recognition at runtime is not performed.

When assigning file names, field names, and so on, bear in mind that Java is case-sensitive.
