Overview

The Web Dynpro Content Administrator is installed with the J2EE Engine. You can use this tool for administration of the Web Dynpro contents deployed to the J2EE Engine. If you are using the adaptive RFC model, the tool for application development is used to maintain the JCo destinations and can be seen as an enhancement to the Visual Administrator tool.

When you deploy a Web Dynpro application that uses an adaptive RFC model, the required JCo destinations are defined in the development component containing the RFC model. These JCo destinations can be maintained with the Web Dynpro Content Administrator. You can also define additional JCo destinations that are not deployed in a  development component, irrespective of the Web Dynpro application. These JCo destinations are called „system-defined“ JCo destinations.

The functions of the Web Dynpro Content Administrator are listed below: These are:

·        Activate and deactivate Web Dynpro applications

·        Browse through the deployed Web Dynpro contents

·        Use the search function to find specific content types, such as Web Dynpro applications, Web Dynpro components, and Web Dynpro models.

·        Check the references defined between Web Dynpro applications and other deployed contents, such as J2EE libraries and J2EE services.

·        Maintain the defined JCo destinations needed for the adaptive RFC model.

·        Call the Web Dynpro application in a separate browser window.

·        Call the Web Dynpro application in a preview.

·        Check the connection to the assigned System Landscape Directory (SLD)

·        Call the user interface for the System Landscape Directory (SLD) used

·        Maintain the text mapping

·        Check the language resources (resource bundle) of Web Dynpro applications for different languages
