The UI elements from the pattern library support the development of Web Dynpro patterns. Web Dynpro patterns are generic, configurable Web Dynpro components that provide general functions – such as search or list results – for a variety of applications.

At the present time, the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio only provides the MessageArea UI element from the pattern library.
