Procedure documentation Manually Replicating User Data Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Prerequisites

You have configured to which other system(s) user data is replicated as described in Replication of User Data.

Procedure

You can either replicate users manually using the manual replication function, or by rereplicating them from the list of replication errors.

Manual Replication

...

       1.      In the user management administration console, choose Replication ® Manual Replication.

The Replication Setup page appears.

       2.      Select whether you want users to be created, updated, or deleted to the other system(s).

¡        Create: User is created in the other system(s). If the user already exists in the other system(s) and you choose to create the user, this will result in a replication error.

¡        Update: User is updated in the other system(s). You can only update users that already exist in the other system(s).

¡        Delete: User is deleted in the other system(s). If you delete a user in the other system(s), but continue to maintain the user in the User Management Engine (UME), this will result in replication errors.

       3.      Select which users you wish to replicate. You can either replicate all users, or select a subset of users using the search function.

       4.      Select the system(s) to which the users are to be replicated.

       5.      Choose Replicate Now.

Manual Replication from List of Replication Errors

...

       1.      In the user management administration console, choose Replication ® Replication Errors.

The System Replication Errors page appears.

       2.      Select the user or users for which you want to perform an operation.

       3.      Choose Ignore, Re-replicate, or Replicate with alternate operation.

¡        Ignore: Removes the error from the list of errors.  Future changes to this user will still be replicated to the other system(s). If you choose Ignore, you must make sure that the data on the other system(s) is up-to-date.

¡        Re-replicate: Replicates the same operation to the other system(s).

¡        Replicate with alternate operation: Generates a reverse operation. A CREATE operation is resent as an UPDATE operation. An UPDATE operation is resent as a CREATE operation. There is no reverse operation for DELETE.

This is useful if, for example, you attempted to update a user that did not yet exist in the other system(s). You can then rereplicate the user with the alternate operation, in this case CREATE.
