Additional Programming Techniques
While the other sections of the Development Manual cover fundamental features such as business logic, presentation logic, persistence, connectivity and security, this section provides information on the use of additional features that do not strictly pertain to either of the layers in the SAP Web Application Server, but enable you to enhance the functions of your applications and of the SAP Web AS itself. Here you can read how to work with the naming, how to use the J2EE Engine administration and monitoring infrastructure, how to configure logging and tracing, and how to use the SAP XML Toolkit for Java. This section also contains information about some of the interfaces in the SAP J2EE Engine API.
