Overview of the JDBC API 
This section summarizes the Open SQL/JDBC implementation from the viewpoint of the JDBC standard. By using the interfaces defined in the JDBC standard, compressed lists show which functions are supported by Open SQL/JDBC, and which functions are limited to find a JDBC subset that is compatible with all database systems.
