Creating
Users and Roles
Depending on the installation of the J2EE Engine on which you have installed the JDI and SLD, you need to use either UME or an SAP system as the user store. In this tutorial, we assume that you are using UME for both the JDI and the SLD. To work through the tutorial, you must create the following users:
You must create these users in both the UME of the JDI J2EE Engine and in the J2EE Engine of the SLD.
To create the roles, proceed as follows:
..
1. To start the user administration of the J2EE Engine in the browser, use the following URL:
http://<host>:5<SID>00/useradmin
Replace <host> with the host name of the J2EE Engine on which you have installed the JDI. Replace <SID> with the SAPSYSTEM number in the start profile of this J2EE Engine.

You assigned the SAPSYSTEM number when you installed the J2EE Engine. You can find this number in the file system of the J2EE Engine installation under the following path:
usr ® sap ® <system name> ® JC<SID>
The logon screen of the J2EE Engine appears.
2. Log on with the Administrator user and the password that you specified when you installed the J2EE Engine.
3. Choose Roles. The Create/Maintain Roles screen appears. Choose Create New.
4. Enter the JDI.Administrator role; add the CBS.Administrator action to this role; then choose Save.
5. In the same way, create the JDI.Developer role with the CBS.Developer action.
...
1. Choose Create User.
2. Create the users Developer, Admin, and CMSadm, in this order.
...
1. Choose Roles.
2. In the Roles field, select the JDI.Developer role and choose Assign Users to ... . The Assign User(s) screen appears.
3. Choose Add User ... The Search for User screen appears.
4. Enter the user ID Developer and choose Search. The Search Result(s) screen appears.
5. In the list, select the Developer user and choose Select. On the Assign User(s) screen, you see a list of all users that have the JDI.Developer role. Developer has now also been included in the list.
6. In the same way, assign the JDI.Administrator role to the users Admin and CMSadm.

If the SLD is installed on a separate J2EE Engine, you must also create the users Developer and CMSadm in this Engine as well.

The users must have the same passwords in both user stores.
You have created the required roles for the JDI and have assigned these roles to the users.
