Editing the Security Properties 
Use this procedure to specify new or edit existing security properties of a Resource Adapter.

1. Click the Security tab.
2. Specify the authentication and permissions properties.
3. Save your entries.

1. Click the Authentication tab.
2. Choose an option from the Authentication Mechanism Type combo box.
3. From the Credential Interface combo box, choose the credential interface that the resource adapter implementation supports for the representation of the credentials. The values in the Authentication Mechanism Type and the Credential Interface combo boxes are paired, so whenever you change one of the values, the other is changed too.
4. Enter a description of the authentication type in the Description field.
5. If the resource adapter supports re-authentication of an existing managed connection instance, select the Reauthentication Support checkbox. Otherwise, leave it empty.
6. You can choose an existing security property from the Authentication Mechanisms list. To edit the list, use the Add, Modify, Remove and Clear buttons.

1. The Security Permissions list contains the existing permissions required by the resource adapter. To edit the list, use the Add, Modify, Remove and Clear buttons.

The security permissions listed here are different from the ones, specified in the connector specification.
2. Modify the value in the Security Permissions Specification field.
3. Enter a description in the Description field.
