To release activities in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, use the transport view of the Change Management Service (CMS).

The transport view provides you with a hierarchy of all activities that you have checked in and activated in a development configuration.

The hierarchy is structured as followed:

·        Development Configuration

¡        DTR Workspace

Any activities that have not yet been released.

§         This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Released

All activities that have been released.

Functions in the Context Menu

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Release

You use this function to forward the activity to the CMS transport control functions. The CMS exports the activity and places it in the import queue of the follow-on system.

You can only execute this function in the state Waiting.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Restart Export

You use this function to restart the export. You may need to do this if the export step could not be performed in full. You can check the state of the export in the console display or in the export log.

·        This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Export Log

The export log records the state of the export step. It is only available for activities that you have already released.

Filter Options

You can filter the activities by choosing Menu This graphic is explained in the accompanying text in the transport view.

You can filter the activities display using the following criteria:

·        Current User (Default)

This filter shows only those activities created by the user who is currently logged on.

·        Another User

You can use this filter to display the activities of another user by entering his or her user ID.

·        All Users

This filter displays all activated activities.
