Procedure documentation Activating the UME Administrator and Deactivating SAP*

Use

In the last steps, you had to activate and use the user SAP* as the active UME administrator. As long as this user is active, no other users can perform UME administration tasks.

Use this procedure to deactivate SAP* and activate the UME administrator(s).

Procedure

...

       1.      Restart the UME user management administration console (http://<SAP_j2ee_engine_host>:<http_port>/useradmin).

       2.      Logon as user SAP*, password 06071992.

       3.      Choose Roles.

       4.      In the role maintenance screen, select the role Administrator and choose Assign groups to….

       5.      In the next screen, choose [+/-].

       6.      In the next screen, select the group SAP_J2EE_ADMIN and choose Select.

       7.      Choose Proceed.

       8.      Logoff and close your Web browser.

       9.      Set the following property in the UME’s property file (see Editing the UME Configuration Files).

ume.superadmin.activated=false

   10.      Restart the SAP J2EE Engine.

Result

The default administration user SAP* is deactivated. Users in the group SAP_J2EE_ADMIN are activated as UME administrators.
