TroubleshootingIf the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection to the LDAP directory is not working, try the following:
· In the UME LDAP configuration tool, enter the IP address of the LDAP server instead of the server name in the Server name field.
...
a. Close down all cluster elements.
b. Start the Config Tool by executing <SAPJ2EEEngine_installation>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat.
c. In the Config Tool, choose UME LDAP data.
d. In the Server name field, enter the IP address of the LDAP server.
e. To save your entries, choose Apply changes.
f. Restart all cluster elements.
·
Check that you
imported the root certificate of the LDAP directory. See
Importing the Root
Certificate of the LDAP Directory.
· Check the log files for more information. You can find the trace files in the Log Viewer of the Visual Administrator at Cluster ® Server ® .\log ® defaultTrace.trc or in the file system at <SAPJ2EEEngine_installation>j2ee\cluster\serverx\log\defaultTrace.trc.X.
· Make sure that the server name in the subject part of the server certificate matches the LDAP server name in the UME configuration. For more information, see SAP Note 736464.
