Assembling a J2EE Application
The Deploy Tool provides the option of assembling your application components into a complete J2EE application. It is delivered in the form of an Enterprise Archive (EAR). You can manage the archives of the components as well as the application itself in the Assembler tab.

By default, if you make an archive of a component in the J2EE Components tab, it is added to the current EAR in the Assemblertab. See Making an Application Component Archive.
You can use the Assembler tab for:
· Adding and Removing a Component Archive to an Application – use this if you want to add previously created archive files to the application.
· Editing the Properties of an Archive
· EAR Properties Management – use this when you want to specify the basic properties of the application EAR file. For example, additional files, security roles or context parameters.
· Making an EAR – assemble the components into one application.
