Procedure documentation Changing Contained Folders Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Here, you see a list of all folders that are defined in this component. You can organize the source files of your component in any folder structures.

There is a difference between Package Folder and Source Folder. Package folder contains the defined packages of a DC (for example, Java-Packages – for more information, see Structure linkDevelopment Components – Concepts). Use the Source Folder to organize the other folders and files, such as images, XML files, and so on.

You use this procedure in all scenarios that use the component model:

·        Scenario 2: Development with Components

·        Scenario 2+: Development with a Track

·        Scenario 3: Layered Development

Procedure

...

       1.      When you define new folders in your component, you must add them as package or source folders.

                            a.      In the context menu of the Folders node, choose Add Package Folder or Add Source Folder.

                            b.      Select the desired folder and confirm with OK.

       2.      The folder now appears in the tree.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

This warning only refers to scenarios 2+ and 3, in which you use the Component Build Service (CBS):

If you forget to register the folder as a package folder, you may still be able to locally build the component. However, activating the DC will fail, because the build plug-ins on the CBS need this information.

       3.      To remove an entry, in the context menu of the entry, choose Delete Folder.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Only the reference is removed; the folder still exists on the local file system.
