Administration of Application Locking Service Using the Console

Use

You can also manage the application locking service from the command field. You have to use this method, if the visual administrator is not running or there are problems with it, (such as connecting to the server process).

Prerequisites

The same prerequisites apply as with Administration of the Locking Adapter Services Using the Console.

Procedure

...

       1.      Go into the console in which the server process is running.

       2.      Enter man. All the groups and functions that you can call are now displayed.

       3.      If the group APPLOCKING is not yet available, enter add. All the groups that are currently not active are displayed, including the APPLOCKING group. Enter add applocking. If you now enter man again, you will see that the APPLOCKING has been added to the list. It provides the following functions:

¡        DISPLAY_APPLOCKING_TIME_STATISTICS

¡        DISPLAY_OPEN_SESSIONS

¡        RUN_APPLOCKING_TESTS
