Function documentation Web Dynpro Model Tools Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

The Web Dynpro tools provide special model tools for defining a Web Dynpro model. These tools are part of the Web Dynpro perspective and thus the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. A definition wizard, the Web Dynpro Generator, a model import wizard, and a generation tool that automatically creates Java proxy classes all provide efficient support when working with models.

You must use a Web Dynpro model to make the data available to the Web Dynpro application; this is a central part of the Web Dynpro concept.

Web Dynpro technology allows you to use external data imported from an (XMI) model from external modeling tools; the source file must have the extension .xmi or .xml. The model tools also provide comprehensive functions and a wizard for importing these files. The model tools also provide support when displaying and changing imported model classes.
