Changing Contained Package Names 

Use

Here, you see a list of the packages that are defined in this DC. For more information on packages, see Development Components – Concepts.

You use this procedure in all scenarios that use the component model:

·        Scenario 2: Development with Components

·        Scenario 2+: Development with a Track

·        Scenario 3: Layered Development

Procedure

Whenever you define packages in your component, this list is automatically updated.

When you use a central Name Service, it is useful to reserve package names so that there will be no overlapping names when working with different DCs. This way you can avoid runtime conflicts. However, the reservation is not checked technically and lies in the responsibility of the developer.
