Calling the Web Service Homepage

Use

You can call a Web service homepage for each deployed Web service. The Web service homepage provides the following services to its user:

·        Documentation on the Web service

·        WSDL documents

·        Generation of proxies

·        The ability to testing the Web service

Procedure

       1.      Call the Web service homepage in one of the following ways:

¡        In the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio

Choose Window  ® Show View  ® Others ® Web Services ® Web Service Navigator. Select the required Web service and choose Web Service Homepage from the context menu.

¡        Using the Web service URL

¡        Using the Visual Administrator

       2.      Choose the required options. These are explained on the Web service homepage.

Note that currently no user authentication takes place for the Web service homepage. Denial of service attacks are possible. In production systems, you can use the shell command stop_appsap.com/com.sap.engine.services.webservices.tool to deactivate the application, if necessary.
