Setting Preferences 

Use

Using this option, you can set:

·        External merge/diff tool preferences

·        File extensions with known content

·        A list of resource name patterns to be excluded from version control.

Prerequisites

The DTR perspective is open in the eclipse IDE.

Setting External Merge/Diff Tool Preferences

       1.      In the menu, choose Window  ® Preferences.

The Preferences dialog box appears.

       2.      To set the external diff and merge tools, choose Team   ® DTR Preferences.

Setting File Extensions With Known Content

To set the file extensions with known content, in the menu chose Team  ® File Content.

Setting the List of Resource Name Patterns to be Excluded From Version Control

...

To set the list of resource name patterns to be excluded from version control, in the menu chose Team  ® Ignored Resources.
