[ethmac] a very fast simulator
Traditionally there is no need for simulation any more after you already
have a working prototype. This can be changing with the availability of
a simulator running faster than the prototype -- I am not kidding though
it is very hard to believe. The vendor's website
(http://www.inclusivesim.com/user/) has some discussions why it is
possible. An older version of this Ethernet MAC core has been used to
demonstrate its speed!
The real good news is that you can try this incredibly fast simulator for
free before the vendor changes mind! To solve the support problem with
the free software (and to get more experience with this exciting
simulator), I volunteer to provide support for its usage in this project. If
it turns out to be not too much burden, I may volunteer more. My
experience with this simulator so far includes
http://www.inclusivesim.com/oc/t_rxcfrm.v.
Hope the exciting experience with this simulator adds a new dimension
to your career!
Cheers,
Jeff
