If you're using a LSI (LSIFC9xx/LSI409xx) Fibre Channel controller on a SMP
computer, the initrd is no created correctly. As a result, the installed
system will not boot.

To fix this, use this driver update disk during installation. It will
install an updated mkinitrd script.


- create the driver update disk

  Insert a writable floppy into the floppy drive and unpack the compressed
  update disk to it, e.g.:

    gunzip -c update-mkinitrd.gz >/dev/fd0

  If this worked, there should be exactly one file on this floppy:

    linux/suse/i386-8.1/install/update.tar.gz


- driver update disk usage

  At the boot screen, press the 'Alt' key. Then proceed as normal. When ask
  for the update disk, insert it.
