Recording Tasks

By default, you are not allowed to log concurrent (overlapping) tasks. If you start a new task when another task has not been stopped, the first task is automatically stopped at the same time the new task is started. You can change this default behavior by selecting the Allow Concurrent Tasks option from the Settings menu.

Starting and Stopping Tasks

To enter a new task, tap the icon. This will cause the New Task dialog window to appear.

If you are starting the task now, you are required only to select the activity, then press OK.

If you are entering a task retroactively, you should select the activity, start time and stop time, and then press OK.

The three most recent activities are included in the "shortcut" buttons on the main screen. These buttons allow activities to be quickly started and stopped in real time.

To stop a task that is not included in the "shortcut" buttons, or to record the stop time of a task retroactively, follow the procedure for editing tasks, as described below.

Editing Tasks

To edit a task, use the arrow buttons, or tap on the task list to move the highlight box to the row containing the task you wish to edit, then tap the icon. This will cause the Edit Task dialog window to appear.

Make the necessary changes to the activity, start time and stop time, then press OK.

Deleting Tasks

To delete a task, use the arrow buttons, or tap on the task list to move the highlight box to the row containing the task you wish to delete, then tap the icon.

Tasks can also be deleted "en masse" using the Purge Tasks menu option. This function allows you to delete all tasks completed before a specific cut-off date and time.
