3. Usage
AstrHorloge has been made to be intuitive. All functions
are avaible via the graphical interface. At first boot of AstrHorloge,
you have to specify the path to the databases. By default, it is "/opt/kde/share/apps/kastrhorloge/".
If you changed this path, a dialog box will appear. Browse and select
the directory OR select the "fichier" tab, and type the correct
path. SAVE.
3.1 Initialisation
So as to properly work, kAstrHorloge needs to be
configured. So, just launch the software, clic onto "options" and then
on "options". Check "Manual time zone" and enter the time zone. A negative
number means you are at Greenwich's meridian East. If unchecked, time zone
is computed using your computer configuration. Save, and the clic on "Coord",
and then on "place". Enter the coordinates of your observation place. Save.
kAstrHorloge is now ready for long observation campaigns !
3.2 List Mode
In this mode, AstrHorloge displays the stars database.
A double-clic will compute the star position in the sky and make the "info"
button avaible.
NB: while displaying infos on an object, a CCD
view might be avaible. A double clic in the window (but NOT on the image
!?!) will display if at it's full size.
3.3 Coordinates Mode
It displays coords in greater size
3.4 Map Mode
A right clic make a zoom and increase the maximal
magnitude. A middle button clic (or both right and left at same time)
zooms out.
