Wie WLAN Konfiguration?

Hallo,

ich kämpfe seit ein paar Stunden meinen Netgear WG111v3 als WLAN zum laufen zu bekommen. Der einfache Teil war die Treiber zu installieren und mit wpa_supplicant zum laufen zu bekommen. Wenn ich manuell über die Shell

wpa_supplicant -i wlan0 -D wext -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -d

eingebe, dann baut sich die Verbindung auf, also meine ich, die Konfiguration kann nicht so falsch sein.

Fragen:

  1. Wann ist eigentlich die Konfiguration in /etc/wap_supplicant.conf ausschlaggebend und wann die in der sysconf?
  2. Was macht eigentlich die Einstellung "Network" genau? nachdem  "LANWLAN" nicht funktionierte, habe ich sie auf "LAN" zurückgestellt.
  3. Wie ist das Verhältnis der Sysconfig Konfiguration zu der in /etc/network/interfaces ?

Meine /etc/network/interfaces habe ich einmal so aufgebaut, weil ich mit der OSD EInstellung nicht zum Ziel gekommen bin, d.h. das WLAN nie gestartet wurde:

Ich habe niemals eine stabile Verbindung per WPA hinbekommen. Nach Kopieren von 20MB war die Verbindung weg. ohne Verschlüsselung deutlich stabiler. Als Treiber ndiswrapper und nativ getestet - beides wenig zufriedenstellend.

Ich hab mir einen WLAN-Stick gekauft, der nativ mit Linux tut und habe seitdem keine Probleme mehr.

Den Netgear habe ich immer noch in der Ecke liegen...

Welchen Stick hast Du denn?

Allerdings glaube ich nicht, dass das Problem oben mit dem Stick zusammenhängt. Der läuft ja, solange der VDR nicht läuft.

Und du hast auch schon mal einen Film kopiert? Bei mir ging der nie - baer womöglich gibt es ja unterschiedliche Subversionen...

Habe ich gesagt ich will Filme kopieren? Momentan wäre ich shcon einmal glücklich, wenn ich mit ssh und Webinterface auf den VDR käme, ohne ein Kabel durch die Wohnung zu legen. Und so wie der Status aussieht, vermute ich nicht, dass es mit einem anderen Stick besser geht.

Ansonsten finde ich deine Kommentare im Moment wirklich nicht sehr hilfreich. Hast Du einen konkreten Vorschlag oder kannst Du mir zumindest mit den Fragen weiterhelfen, die ich oben gestellt habe?

Sorry, ich versuchte zu helfen - wenn du das nicht möchtest, dann suche weiter und versuche eine instabile Verbindung mit dem Netgear hinzubekommen. Mein Tipp war der, dass ich es in Wochen nicht hinbekommen habe und ein anderer Stick ootb ging.
