SUMMARY	

    "Mei" is free software which works on "Objectworks\Smalltalk" and
    "VisualWorks\Smalltalk", and is distributed under the terms of the
    GNU General Public License. 

    "Mei" contains the following class libraries:
     1.  Grapher Library
      (useful for drawing diagrams)
     2.  Meta Grapher Library
      (grapher to develop grapher)
     3.  Drawing tools and painting tools
      (structured diagram editors and drawing editors)
     4.  GUI editor
      (graphical user interface builder)
     5.  Lisp interpreter
      (minimum set based on Lisp1.5)
     6.  Prolog interpreter
      (minimum set based on DEC-10 prolog)
     7.  Pluggable gauges
      (visual gauges based on Model-View-Controller framework)
     8.  Extended browser
      (package, history, version control, etc.)
     9.  Stationery
      (calculator based on constraint programming, etc.)


    Since "Mei" also includes many example programs, it would be a
    nice programming environment for beginners and, at the same
    time, a very powerful environment for senior programmers.

    Please install according to "Installation.[ej]". There are some
    hints to use Mei in "HowToPlay.[ej]".
